Grade 5 hikes in Victoria

Grade 5 is the hardest grade under the AWTGS. These hikes are for very experienced bushwalkers with specialised skills, including navigation and emergency first aid. Tracks are likely to be very rough, very steep and unmarked, often with no directional signage, and may be longer than 20 km. Carry a map and navigation equipment, be fully self-reliant, and take a personal locator beacon.
