The Swan Park Trail is a 4.5 km, grade 2 hike in Herdsmans Cove, Tasmania, and typically takes around 1.5 hours to complete. Starting from the Jordan River Bridge on East Derwent Highway, the track follows the Derwent River foreshore eastward around Gagebrook, ending at Lamprill Circle.
Along the way, there are several shelters ideal for picnics or taking a break. The shallow wetlands along the foreshore are teeming with birdlife, including black swans, cormorants, pelicans, and white-faced herons. The trail also offers stunning views of the river and kunanyi / Mount Wellington.
