Hike overview
Unwind on the leisurely TC McKeller Walk, a scenic 2-kilometer loop trail within Arthurs Seat State Park. This easy Grade 2 hike, taking approximately 45 minutes to complete, is perfect for nature enthusiasts of all ages.
Starting and finishing at the information shelter at Seawinds Gardens, the gently sloping track winds through undulating bushland. Particularly stunning in springtime, the area comes alive with a vibrant display of native wildflowers. As you begin your walk, keep an eye out for Prickly Tea-Tree and Blackwood wattles. The trail soon transitions into a denser forest woodland, dominated by larger Blackwood and Messmate Stringybark trees.
Listen for the calls of Red Wattlebirds flitting through the branches, and be sure to stay vigilant in the evenings, as Eastern Grey Kangaroos are frequent visitors to this area. The sandy track is adorned with swathes of wiry grasses, adding to the natural charm of the environment. After completing the circular trail, you'll return to the main path leading back to Seawinds Gardens.
