The Devil's Garden is an area of bushland north-west of Lake Fyans bordering the Halls Gap-Stawell Road. The Devil's Garden State Forest is open woodland that is dominated by River Red Gum, Yellow Box and Golden Wattle. It's also a good spot to see native orchids in spring. The forest is mostly flat with a network of vehicle management tracks. Many have become overgrown with grass and small shrubs so this can make way finding challenging at times.
This Devil's Garden Circuit explores a large section of the park and is a great place to take your dog for a walk given they are not permitted in the Grampians National Park. The walking is easy and would typically represent a grade 2 hike. However, I have graded this as a grade 3 trail as some of the vehicle track this circuit follows have all but vanished, making navigation a bit tricky on occasion.
