Classic Urban Parks is a 3.5km, grade 2 walk in Hobart, Tasmania. The circuit typically takes around 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete. This walk links several of the city’s historic parks, offering glimpses into Hobart’s rich and fascinating past through fountains, gravestones, semaphore stations, and slipways. Depending on the season, you will be surrounded by the vibrant blooms of roses and spring bulbs, bright splashes of autumn color, or the welcome shade of towering trees in summer.
As you stroll between the parks, you will also pass many of Hobart’s architectural gems, including the sandstone warehouses of Salamanca Place, the imposing façade of Parliament House, and elegant art deco office buildings.
