Wondabyne to Pindar Cave is a 13.6km, grade 3 hike located in the Brisbane Water National Park, New South Wales. The hike should take around 5.5 hrs to complete.
Hike summary
The walk will begin with a nice climb from Wondabyne Station. Then it's via fire trail and track to Pindar Cave. Pindar Cave is a geological formation which appears as a massive concave of overhanging sandstone rock. Although it is named as a cave, the whole formation is an overhang. It is large enough for sixty walkers to camp overnight under its shelter away from wet weather.
The wildflowers in this area during spring are amazing. The Sydney rock orchids (Dendrobium speciosum) should be in full bloom above the cave.
