Lady Darley Lookout Track is a 200m, grade 3 hike located in the Blue Mountains National Park, New South Wales. The hike should take around 12 mins to complete.
Hike overview
This walk provides the shortest access to Lady Darley Lookout from the road. Starting from Panorama Dr in Katoomba the walk heads down a hill with stairs to the lookout. Yes, that helps!
I’m so glad I found this spectacular Lookout. I knew it was “high†and from what you’re saying that means it’s height above the valley below is around 600m.
That *is* high. Perhaps not by “world standards†but everyone there (almost exclusively foreign tourists) were also impressed, especially with the gorgeous escarpments and bushland that also surround you.
I have visited Echo Point many times and always have been in awe. But today was the first time I chose to take the walk to Lady Darley Lookout and I was certainly not disappointed! The view is amazing and is far less crowded with visitors.
I’m intrigued though – does anyone know how high this point is above the plateau below? It seems very high but I am a very poor judge of height or distance.
I’m so glad I got to see it on a clear day. It was unforgettable!
