This walk takes you from Pemberton town site to the Gloucester Tree or visa versa. If you are setting out from town, start from the trail head outside the Visitors Centre and follow the signs through town. Soon you will reach the forest. You will be walking through karri and marri forest. Take your time and don't be surprised if you startle a kangaroo grazing near the track, especially early in the morning or late in the afternoon. By taking this walk you can avoid following roads all the way to the Gloucester Tree. Walking in the forest sure beats competing with cars and breathing exhaust. If you are starting from the Gloucester Tree and heading for town, look for the walkers' information then follow the well marked trail back.
