Working With Me

Working with me at Trail Hiking Australia

From time to time, I work with organisations and brands that genuinely align with the values behind Trail Hiking Australia.

This site was built as a personal project and remains something I manage directly. If I choose to collaborate, it’s because there is a clear alignment around safety, responsible recreation and respect for public land.

The goal is not volume. It’s fit.

What matters to me

Any collaboration must align with the core principles behind this site:

  • Editorial independence
  • Safety-first messaging
  • Honest, experience-based information
  • Respect for public land and shared outdoor spaces

I won’t publish content that compromises credibility or puts promotion ahead of preparedness.

The kinds of collaborations I may consider

Depending on alignment, this might include:

  • Supporting safety or preparedness initiatives
  • Resource sponsorship
  • Long-term partnerships with values-aligned brands
  • Field testing and experience-based gear reviews
  • Educational or destination-based collaborations
  • Speaking or community engagement opportunities

Not every opportunity is accepted. Many are declined.

Maintaining trust is more important than expanding commercial relationships.

What I don’t do

To be clear, I do not:

  • Sell editorial influence
  • Publish undisclosed sponsored content
  • Accept pay-to-play articles or advertorials
  • Prioritise promotion over safety
  • Enter partnerships that conflict with community trust

These boundaries are non-negotiable.

For more detail on how the site is supported and how independence is maintained, see the Funding and Independence page.
