Kingaroy – Kilkivan Rail Trail is a 131km, grade 3 One Way hike located in South East Queensland Queensland. The hike should take approximately 10 days to complete.

Summary

This is a proposed rail trail and is not yet open. It is one of the potential Rail Trails identified throughout QLD.

The Honourable Jeff Sweeney, Depty Premier and Minister for State Development, Infrastucture and Planning has announced that The Queensland Government has provide $ 2 million  for stage one of the Kingaroy to Killkivan Rail Trail.

South Burnett Regional Mayor, said the Rail Trail would reinvigorate several small towns along the trail  while preserving the History of the railway line in the area.

Gympie Regional Council Depty Mayor said it would give his shire a boost in tourism .
