Kumbartcho Sanctuary Trails is an 8km, grade 1 hike located in Kumbartcho Sanctuary, Queensland. The hike should take around 2.75 hours to complete.
Hike overview
The Kambartcho Sanctuary is six hectares of natural habitat which provides an important corridor for local fauna and flora. There are a number of local walking trails around the dam at environment centre in addition to an opportunity to walk along the South Pine River to Yurarba. The education centre and nursery is open daily from 7am to 7pm.

About the region
Kumbartcho is a Flora and Fauna Sanctuary incorporating walking tracks, a public park, BBQ and playground, all of which are open between 7am and 7pm to the public free of charge. (Sorry, no Cats, Dogs or Horses allowed)
There is also a Native Plant Nursery where plants can be purchased for as little as $2 and an Environmental Education Centre with videos, a Reference Library, Touch and Feel Table, Displays and Arts and Crafts for the littlies (and the littlies at heart).
Kumbartcho is operated by Volunteers in partnership with Moreton Bay Regional Council and is located at Eatons Hill, just on Brisbane's Northern border.
