Hike Summary
Enjoy a loop hike through the quieter areas of Newland Head Conservation Park. The trail follows a fire tracks gently up to Ridgeway Hill, before returning through the northern section of the park along fire tracks and walking trails. Keep an eye out for echidnas and kangaroos.

About the region
Located on the southern coast of the Fleurieu Peninsula, Newland Head Conservation Park is a popular destination for surfing and fishing. The park protects two long beaches, Waitpinga and Parsons, as well as rocky headlands and surrounding coastal vegetation. Follow the walking trails along the rolling hills and rugged cliffs which provide panoramic views of the Waitpinga Creek, Encounter Bay, the Pages in Backstairs Passage and Kangaroo Island.
