Summary

Chasm Falls is the third waterfall accessible from Ironstone Track in the Meander State Forest Reserve. The waterfall is named due to the narrow chasm it is situated in, and is truly only viewable by crossing a large log that spans the top of the chasm. Chasm Falls flows along Smoko Creek, and is related to Lower Chasm Falls and Middle Chasm Falls a short walking distance downstream.

In 2017, the track to Chasm Falls was ‘closed’ and the log bridge that crosses the chasm has been condemned for not being safe.

Map Discrepencies

Older editions of Tasmaps have correctly listed Chasm Falls at the same location as the location we have marked on our maps. Online editions of the topographic base map found at The List Maps have listed Chasm Falls at the location where Middle Chasm Falls is situated.
