Awaba – Wangi Wangi Rail Trail is a 10km, grade 3 One Way hike located in Newcastle Area New South Wales. The hike should take approximately 3hrs to complete.

This is a proposed rail trail and is not yet open. It is one of the potential Rail Trails identified throughout NSW.

Given that the former railway passes through mature forest and could link up with other trails in the area, the Lake Macquarie council may consider developing this as a rail trail. Indications of support to the council would obviously encourge the council.
