Wandoo Trail is a 2.7km, grade 3 circuit hike, located in Dryandra Woodland, Western Australia. The hike should take approximately 0.75hrs to complete.

Hike Summary

A short and moderately easy walk through wandoo woodland, offering opportunities for Bird watching and numbat spotting.

This 2.7km walk is flat and easy walking through wandoo and heath. It starts from the Old Dam Picnic Area and is signposted in an anticlockwise direction.  This is an extension of the shorter Wandoo Night Walk trail.  For more information about this area see the Dryandra Woodland Network page.  

About the region

Dryandra Woodland, near Narrogin, is a valuable nature conservation area featuring the largest remnant of original vegetation in the western Wheatbelt. 24 mammal, 98 bird and 41 reptile species are all known to call Dryandra home, including Western Australia’s state mammal emblem, the numbat (Myrmecobius fasciatus).

Getting there

Dryandra Woodland is less than two hours drive from Perth on sealed roads. Roads within the Woodland are unsealed, but accessible by all vehicles.
