I am constantly amazed at the rubbish people leave on the trail. Everything from food containers to toilet paper. Hike using the Leave no trace principles.
What you pack in you need to pack out.

If everyone took a little extra rubbish out from all walks… my partner and I carry an extra rubbish bag and gloves. From two local walks along the Yarra we’ve removed dozens of bags full.
Good on you Darren, I always forget to bring extra bags to carry out trash however anything small enough to fit in my pockets or daypack always gets carried out.
This is my collection from a family walk at powlett river near kilcunda yesterday
Yes it is not hard!
Zero rubbish on Donnellys weir to mt st leonards circuit. ..we actually commented on the lack of it.
I’m constantly amazed at the amount of tissue paper left next to tracks 😬. The mt Oberon track was particularly bad ☹️ I try to pick up rubbish when walking but not keen on picking up toilet paper 🤢
We did a 3 day hike around wilsons prom a few weeks ago. The rubbish we found it was horrible! We even found a 3 pack of up and go left at refuge cove?!
