To join an event, you can view the upcoming events then login (or create an account) to RSVP to attend. Click the ‘Going’ button to indicate you will be attending (see screen shot below). If you aren’t sure if you really want to go, you can always indicate you are ‘interested’ instead. If there aren’t any upcoming events, feel free to create an event so others can join you. It’s a great way to meet new hiking buddies.
Before you RSVP to any event, it’s important to understand that these events may be organised by people with limited hiking and bushwalking experience, so you shouldn’t expect these to be guided events. Everyone joining an event is responsible for their own planning and safety. To understand what’s involved in attending events, you can read this article here. Please bear in mind this article has been prepared for managing the Trail Hiking Australia Meetup Group so not everything will be applicable to community organised events.
