Pine Island Reserve is a popular recreation area situated within the Pine Island-Tharwa Bridge Reserve, located just 25 minutes south of Canberra, the capital of New South Wales. It’s important to note that vehicle access to the reserve is restricted during certain hours. Gates close to cars between 9pm and 8am during daylight saving time, and from 6pm to 8am at other times. Additionally, dogs are not permitted within the reserve.

Tharwa Bridge, another section of the Pine Island-Tharwa Bridge Reserve, provides a picturesque riverside picnic area.
