Trail Hiking Australia is independently operated and funded. Maintaining a national trail database, verification systems, mapping tools and hosting infrastructure involves ongoing time and financial cost.

Limited advertising, delivered through Mediavine, helps support these operational costs.

Advertising revenue allows the platform to remain free to access while maintaining editorial independence. It reduces reliance on commercial sponsorship and helps ensure that trail information, safety guidance and policy positions are not influenced by external interests.
