Trail Hiking Australia operates as an independent, founder-led public resource. While limited advertising provides some income, it does not fully cover the cost of researching, verifying and maintaining a national trail database.
Donations help sustain the platform and allow it to remain independent.
What are donations used for?
All revenue generated through donations and advertising is reinvested into the platform. This includes:
- Trail research and verification
- GPX file development and data review
- Hosting and technical infrastructure
- Mapping tools and database maintenance
- Ongoing site development
Donations support the continued improvement of accurate, structured and safety-focused hiking information for Australia.
