My first overnighter was to Curnow’s Hut at Bundaleer along the Heysen Trail and still use this as my go to overnight point. Can be reached from several starting points with various distances from about 10km to more than 25km. The hut can be reached by a relatively flat hike or with plenty of leg work with over 600m elevation and terrain can vary from undulating farm land to pine and eucalyptus plantations.
