Ruined Castle Walk is a 7.9km, grade 4 hike located in Blue Mountains National Park, New South Wales. The hike should take around 3.5 hours to complete.
Hike overview
Entering into the Jamison Valley via the popular Golden Staircase this walk climbs one of the most recognisable landmarks in the Jamison Valley - The Ruined Castle. A beautiful rock formation that offers great views over the valley as far as Wentworth Falls and Katoomba. Explore some of the history of the coal mining in this part of the Jamison Valley.

I hear this is ruined literally these days by rubbish. I certainly hope not. I used to do this walk often as a teenager and later and a quick day walk.
I walked from Golden Staircase to Ruined Castle – back in 3 hours because I had to be at work (2hrs drive) by 2pm! ??
