Hike overview
Are you ready for a challenging yet rewarding adventure? Look no further than the 20-kilometer hike to the summit of Mount Gingera in Namadgi National Park. This grade 4 hike offers a scenic journey through snow gum forests and culminates in breathtaking panoramic views from the peak.
The trail begins at the Corin Dam Carpark and follows the Stockyard Spur Walking Track. As you ascend, the eucalypt forests give way to stunning snow gum woodlands. Along the way, you'll pass Pryors Hut, a convenient rest stop before continuing your climb towards the New South Wales border. Be prepared for a demanding final kilometer to the summit, but the reward is truly worth the effort. Soak in the unparalleled panoramic views that stretch out in every direction.
After summitting the peak, retrace your steps and return to the Corin Dam Carpark via the same trail. If you're looking for a slightly less challenging option, consider the Stockyard Spur Walking Track itself, which offers a beautiful hike without the summit climb.
