Meroo Head lookout walking track is a 0.8km, grade 2 return hike, located in the Meroo National Park, New South Wales. The hike should take approximately 30mins to complete.
Even if you are only visiting Meroo National Park for a few hours, you can’t miss the spectacular coastal views from Meroo Head lookout walking track. It’s a lovely short walk through tall forest to the northern edge of the headland, then you’ll emerge to panoramic views of uninterrupted coastline.
Stretching out into the distance, you’ll see dazzling coastal waters and unspoilt wilderness. Take a moment to take it all in and take advantage of the excellent birdwatching from this magnificent spot.
If you have time, follow the track around the headland back to the carpark or head down to Meroo Beach. For the energetic, why not continue along the Nuggan Point walking track for more dramatic coastal views and another great vantage point for whale watching.

Meroo National Park is always open but may have to close at times due to poor weather or fire danger.
Meroo Head lookout walking track is in the Meroo Head precinct in the southern part of Meroo National Park. To get there:Travel south on Princes Highway from UlladullaApproximately 20km south of Ulladulla turn left into Meroo Point RoadContinue for approximately 3km until you arrive at the Meroo Headcarpark at the end of the roadFollow the signs to the lookout Road quality Check the weather before you set out as the road to Meroo Head lookout walking track can become boggy when it rains. Parking Parking is available at Meroo Head carpark a short walk from Meroo Head lookout.
