Situated on Joy Creek, east of Ben Lomond National Park’s northern end, Joy Falls is a stunning big waterfall that drops over dolerite peaks into a canyon. The steepness of the canyon makes it incredibly difficult to find a good vantage point to view the waterfall. Coupled with the lack of hiking tracks, this waterfall is a true bush bash, that crosses very loose scree, thick scrub, and very slippery logs and rocks. We recommend only experienced hikers contemplate viewing this waterfall
