Mount George Conservation Park, located 25 kilometres southeast of Adelaide, South Australia, offers a serene escape into the Adelaide Hills. This park, traditionally the land of the Kaurna people, has undergone a transformation from cleared farmland to a thriving natural haven.

Today, the park boasts diverse vegetation and a vibrant display of wildflowers, particularly in spring. A network of walking trails, ranging from short strolls to longer hikes, invites exploration. The park is divided into two zones, with the recreation area allowing dogs on leash.

As you wander through the park, you’ll encounter a variety of native plants and animals, including majestic mountain gums, colourful wildflowers, and a diverse birdlife. Keep an eye out for superb blue wrens, red-browed finches, and other feathered inhabitants.
